After School Literacy / Art Program

Fictional Faces literacy program brings children into and beyond the pictures and words of the book. After the book is read we explore the theme and characters with face art and hands on activities. In this four week forty minute program a different book is read each week using a different art medium to extend the children’s comprehension of the story. The face painting reflects the symbols and characters of the book as a visual reminder to young readers.
